thank you for these interesting thoughts. Here at Zemanta we are always thinking about how to extend our service to other use-cases. And actually it is possible to use Zemanta on your own data as long as you can provide it to Zemanta in a form of feed. We also offer API to enable third parties to create useful applications on top of the technology.

If you know anyone wanting to write an app such as you describe - for Word or something similar, please tell him to contact us at support@zemanta.com. We&#039;d be glad to help!
