I personally use McAfee SiteAdvisor, but it is interesting to see Yahoo! bolster its offering (Yahoo search to 'battle spyware') - a technology addition to its search engine which warns users about potentially risky websites.

Mashup with Yahoo Pipes

Pipes is a service platform for processing well-structured data such as RSS, Atom and RDF feeds in a Web-based visual programming environment. Developers can use Pipes to combine data sources and user input into mashups without having to write code. These mashups, analogous in some ways to Unix pipes, can power badges on personal publishing sites, provide core functionality for Web applications, or serve as reusable components within the Pipes platform itself.

Indecision or an astute game of poker? Microsoft seem to be in no hurry to 'do the deal' with Yahoo! Microsoft may well have gained from a 'short engagement' as the Yahoo! position has somewhat improved over recent weeks. I'm not convinced Microsoft will 'walk away' but it will be intersting to see what deal could be crafted to save blushes all round.
